Our New York based, globally operating security company seeks an Assistant Controller to manage and safeguard the financial integrity of the company.
This high-level role involves close collaboration with the CEO and CFO to oversee all financial operations, including internal audits, compliance, and financial reporting.
The Role
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the management of all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting.
- Maintain oversight of the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
- Ensure all financial practices adhere to statutory legislation and regulations,
including overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting as required by law.
- Analyze and report on financial performance to executive management, providing advice on budget planning and profit optimization.
- Manage and streamline accounts payable and receivable processes, improving cash flow and financial health of the company.
- Direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls, coordinating activities with external audit firms.
Ideal Profile
Qualifications :
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or CMA preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with significant exposure to the security or technology sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a deep understanding of accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial models.
- Knowledge of international sales tax laws.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, integrity, and reliability in previous financial roles.
