The position is responsible for the development of the sales, marketing and service functions to provide excellent outputs to all stakeholders.Working in a team environment, he/she should be able to work unsupervised on complex analysis tasks and with a general understanding of their impact on the business.
Functions
In accordance with business objectives the responsibilities include:1. Development and implementation of marketing and sales strategies that maximize sales growth for the division.2. Pricing strategies that ensure the target profitability and growth levels.3. Management and development of the sales and service resources and processes to maximize effectiveness.4. Negotiation of agreements and sales and service contracts.
5. Leadership of the technical team with focus on efficiency in the operations.6. Reporting on deviations from planned results and the development and implementation of remedial actions.7. Determining and maintaining minimum working capital guidelines to support the business.8. Maximizing the efficient use of assets and resources.9. Participation in management meetings as required.10. Supporting the internal and external audit procedures.11. Adhere to the core values of commitment, innovation and interaction and operate with a philosophy of continual improvement.12. Ensure adherence to company Occupational Health & Safety and Quality and Business Code of Practice policies and procedures.
Financial responsibilities according to separate Prokura document.
Principal Relationships
Regional Business Line Manager – to receive training, instructions and determine priorities as well as objectives. To impart relevant information, inform of deviations and identify red flags. Approvals outside of prokura limits.
Sales & Customer Service personnel – to give instruction and support and receive feedback. Ensure the continued effectiveness through goal setting, coaching and development.
Service team – to coordinate and execute the service offers.
Logistics Coordinator – Determine and implement efficient inventory levels to support the business
Regional Business Controller – To impart relevant information, inform of financial deviations and identify red flags.
Customers External – Relationship management, price setting, negotiation.
Customers, internal – Support with information, price setting.
Distributors – Key account management for aftermarket development.
Suppliers – Negotiation of order coordination.
Education requirements
Technical degree or similar by experience.
Business degree or similar by experience.
Fluency in Spanish is essential, with a good command of English.
Knowledge, skills and experience requirements
Good working knowledge of the ERP and CRM systems. SAP solutions will be a plus.
Experience in marketing, preferable within a service organization.
People management skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Advanced computer skills and aptitude, particularly MS Office.
Experience of working within a team.
Understanding of large company processes and procedures.
Personality requirements
Dynamic and energetic.
Resistant to stress and able to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively within a team.
Willing to lead by example and work with the philosophy of ‘there is always a better way to do things’.
