TheBaltimore City Department of Public Worksis seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to serve as itsChief Financial Officer (CFO) .
This critical role will oversee the financial systems and operations of the agency, ensuring effective management of the budget, fiscal reporting, and long-term financial planning.
In this position, you will provide strategic financial guidance and support to the Director, Deputy Director, Bureau Heads, and other leadership team members.
You will lead a team of 50 FTEs across four offices: Office of Accounting, Office of Budget and Financial Planning, Office of Contract Administration, and Office of Procurement.
TheDPWis a complex municipal operation with a workforce of 2,800 employees, a $660 million annual operating budget, and a six-year $1.8 billion capital budget.
As CFO, you will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the efficient use of resources and effective financial management practices.

Main Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:Develop and manage the budget, fiscal systems, and reports; conduct long-term revenue forecasting, utility rate analysis, and cost-of-service analysis.
Financial Oversight:Provide direction and support to managers in financial issue problem-solving, develop financial alternatives/strategies, and monitor the day-to-day operations of assigned divisions.
Leadership and Collaboration:Work closely with management throughout the agency to ensure long-range people strategies, business goals, objectives, and initiatives align with the agency's goals.#J-18808-Ljbffr
