Quality EngineerLocation: Open Location, AFLA Reports to: AFLA Quality Director
Job Overview: AFLA Quality Engineer will support local and regional quality functions to develop and maintain supplier quality systems, internal audit programs to ensure SOP compliance and quality information’s systems to ensure accurate information and KPIs.Principal Accountabilities:
Supplier Quality
New material validation: Supports and oversees new raw material validation tests, in coordination with Quality and R&D Teams. Ensures proper application of testing protocols. Review measurement results to support material release. Creates and maintain an approved raw material database.
Quality complaints: Supports local Quality and Procurement functions in supplier quality complaints, to ensure claim recovery and improvement actions. Creates and maintains communication channels between those departments to ensure accurate complaint information Creates and maintains a supplier complaints database.
Supplier audits: Develops and maintains an audit program to evaluate and approve supplier quality systems. Applicable for corporate central suppliers. Creates and comply with a supplier audit schedule.
Supports local Supplier Quality functions in raw materials quality control procedures.
Quality Audits
Quality audit program: Schedules and complies with regional quality audits. Supports local quality teams to develop improvement plan for audit findings.
Customer audits: Supports BU’s in key customer audits, when needed or requested. Follows ups improvement actions for audit findings. Creates and maintain an audit schedule for key customers.
Certification audits: Supports BU’s in quality systems certification audits. Creates, maintains an audit schedule.
Quality Information Systems
Reporting: Support regional and local quality functions in QA Monthly Management Reports (QA MMR)
Quality information systems: Key user of available Quality Information Systems. Grants general access and configuration. Trains and supports local key users. Support new systems implementation.
Quality training: Prepare and distribute quality training material to develop local QA teams.
Major challenges & complexities:
Ensure teams perform their tasks according to local / regional standard procedures.
Create a professional and collaborative net within AFLA multidisciplinary environment.
Relationships:
Internal: Local / regional Operations, Quality, Procurement and R&D teams.
External: Raw material suppliers.
Qualifications/Requirements
Knowledge & Experience:
Three years of experience in quality control / management, preferably in flexible, paper, plastics and / or related industries.
Experience leading supplier quality processes and material validation.
Internal audit skills.
Statistical data analysis.
Experience leading multifunctional teams.
Education & Certifications:
Chemical Engineer or related.
Quality Certifications (if possible).
