The Sales Consultant is responsible for creating customized quotes and managing the delivery of services for private groups and independent travellers (FIT). This role involves proactively managing client relationships, ensuring timely responses to inquiries, and delivering services that meet client needs and expectations. Key responsibilities include handling sales calls and emails, developing products,
building itineraries, preparing trip documentation, and providing customer service in line with Intrepid's minimum standards, philosophies, and operational systems.
The Sales Consultant will collaborate closely with the Contracting, Product, Finance, Operations, and Reservations teams to ensure the seamless and safe delivery of client-approved products. Additionally, they will support the Sales Manager by contributing to product development and marketing initiatives for both internal and external clients.
This is a Full-Time Permanent Position that will operate on a hybrid basis out of our office in Lima, Peru.
Some experience you'll bring with you may include:
1. At least 2 years of experience in the Sales Department within the tourism industry, successfully creating and delivering customized travel programs in Peru and other South American countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile, catering primarily to clients from the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
2.
Experience in preparing quotes for special groups and FITs using Excel and specialized quoting systems.
3. Previous experience in Reservation, Operation, or Customer Service Departments will be valued.
4. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Spanish.
5. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office 360 products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF).
6. Attention to detail and works well with numbers.
7. Ability to work on flexible working hours, focused on goal achievements, and adaptability to work in a hybrid system combining office and home office work.
