We are seeking candidates for the position of Senior Water Resources Engineer to serve a diverse client base and help expand our Water Resources Practice in Ohio. Our office locations include Dayton, Lima, and Cleveland, with options for remote or hybrid work.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive experience, along with strong professional and interpersonal skills. They should be proactive, passionate, creative, collaborative,
and capable of working independently.

Pay: $91,000 – $140,000, depending on experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Essential Functions:

1. Plan and design a variety of water resources, public utilities, and private development projects, including stream/wetland restoration, dam remediation, floodplain analysis/permitting, culvert and bridge replacement, stormwater planning, watershed studies, asset management, and site/civil development design.
2. Lead engineering studies from concept identification to design, construction documents, and post-construction support.
3. Manage scope, schedule, and budget; engage in client and project management and business development.
4. Build relationships with clients and public agencies as needed.
5. Collaborate with support professionals such as CAD designers, EITs, and GIS technicians.
6. Mentor and coach junior staff.

Credentials:

Education:

- Master's degree in civil engineering with emphasis on water resources or related field.
- Ohio PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar software.
- Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling; 2D modeling experience preferred.
- GIS experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with ODOT standards and hydraulics pre-qualification.
- Knowledge of stormwater management standards at local, state, and federal levels.
- Strong communication skills.
