Job ID- #BH-6880- Category- Mining- Location- Tacna, Peru- Job Type- Permanent- Posted Date- 30 November 2023- Closing Date- 27 December 2023**Engineering Director****The Company**Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in Santiago & Lima is working together to source a highly capable and motivated professional to join our LATAM Resources Engineering team.**The Role**As the Engineering Director, you will assume a pivotal leadership role, overseeing all engineering activities within our mining operations. Your strategic guidance and technical acumen will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our engineering projects. This role reports directly to Regional Leader Cu Major Project Portfolio.**The Responsibilities**- Extensive engineering methodology "know-how" for greenfield and brownfield projects for specific copper mining mega projects.- Relevant project owner's teams and/or EPC/M experience. Has successfully led multiple projects simultaneously or a single project of a major size and scope.- Technical capability to ensure the approach and/or review of technical solutions in mining engineering, as well as extensive knowledge of metallurgical processes for efficient coordination between specialists.- Commercial/financial acumen to maximize profitability and contribute to the growth of the organization.- Maintain the organization Engineering Management framework to facilitate world class delivery of capital projects.- Raise safety awareness and ensure the corporate design for safety principles are applied to the project.- Promote engineering risk assessments and HAZOPs; also design reviews, key engineering review milestones and engineering / management / construction reviews.**The Requirements**- Tertiary Qualifications - Recognised/accredited degree in Engineering or Construction Management.- 20+ years in engineering management working for Owners and EPC/M companies is desirable within the industrial sector, preferably related to megaprojects in the mining industry (proven mining project management and/or mine operation experience). Construction experience is a plus.- Relevant experience leading and managing design teams within large scale projects/operations, with and high expertise on regulatory standards, and design criteria in engineering disciplines.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders involved in the project.- Engaging interpersonal skills with a facility for working with a variety of group dynamic situations.- Familiar with high level of engineering standards**The Rewards**The position offers a competitive remuneration package.**Contact Us
