IT Security & Risk Senior Specialist

Background:
The Information Technology Department (ITE) is looking for an experienced professional to work on the IT CISO/Security Policy team. You will work on maintaining the Information Security and IT Risk Management program for the IDB.

The team:
The ITE department is responsible for formulating the Bank’s IT Strategy, its implementation and providing related tools, solutions and services. It is also the focal point for all IT services (infrastructure and applications), architecture, policies and security for the IDB.
Our department is made up of six groups, the IT Policy and Planning (IPP) and IT Operations (ITO) divisions and four Business Partners areas that serve as liaison between ITE and all the Bank Operational and Corporate functions to implement solutions for the Bank and the region. The lead of the IT CISO/Security Policy group reports to the IPP Division Chief, who in turn reports to the Bank’s CIO (ITE Manager)

What you’ll do:

Following are the most important activities you will be doing to move forward the security program towards its goals:
You will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously enhancing the Information Security and IT Risk Management governance program, including execution of cloud and on premises technology security risk assessments, coordinating remediation, and compliance verification.
You will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, reporting and continuous improving of the IT risk dashboard that includes key security indicators and metrics, such as the information technology risk register, and its alignment with the Bank’s Digital strategy.
You will handle the continuous improvement and implementation of the ITE Cybersecurity Framework, which includes the contextual analysis of the security landscape to propose new creative and innovative projects and ideas to eliminate gaps and optimize existing processes.
Develop and socialize corporate information technology security guidelines and standards specific for technology solutions deployed at the IDB. Coordinate and monitor implementation of these guidelines and compliance with the standards.
Coordinate and improve the Bank’s information security awareness program to promote broader use of security standard methodologies in the Bank. Liaise with key Bank Stakeholders to assist and collaborate in the dissemination of the security awareness materials and training and identify challenges and opportunities.
Define, publish, and maintain the information security architecture in line with current and emerging technologies used at the Bank, such as block chain, modern applications, and artificial intelligence, and following the associated security standards and controls requirements for IT infrastructure and systems.

You will be working with the team’s contractors and consultants coordinating, monitoring, and performing activities towards the completion of the group work program.
Skills you’ll need:
Education:
Education: Master's Degree (or equivalent degree) from an accredited university in Information Technology, Security or another relevant field is required.
Certifications in the fields of information security, IT risk, cloud security, and project management are desirable. (CISM, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, PMP, Agile)

Experience:
At least 8 years of relevant experience in the Information Security and IT Operations fields.
Between 3 to 5 years of recent experience in IT security risk management.
Deep knowledge on current and evolving security threats. Experience with the implementation of solutions that provide security intelligence to protect digital assets inside and outside the Bank network.
Strong knowledge of Cloud technologies, Cloud Security, and trends. Experience deploying and administering Cloud Access Security Broker, Azure Information Protection, and monitoring and protecting workloads in IaaS (AWS, Azure) and O365.
Experience handling security tools and defining security processes incorporating them, such as threat and vulnerability management, intrusion detection, cyber intelligence, security incident response and forensics, security event and log management.
Experience with IT Policy, Audit, Compliance, and IT Management Standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001 and 27002, SOC2, SOX, NIST, COBIT and COSO Frameworks.
Experience defining and implementing data protection policies and controls.
Deep understanding of common hacking tools and techniques used to exploit operating systems and applications vulnerabilities.
Experience crafting security in modern applications (serverless), block chain based, and DevOps processes to promote secure agile IT delivery

Languages:

Fluency in English is a requirement. Knowledge of another official Bank language (Spanish, Portuguese and/or French) is required.
