This role represents a significant opportunity to work in a high-performance team while supporting world class operations and projects globally.**The Opportunity**Glencore Copper are currently seeking a highly capable and motivated professional to join our LATAM OE & Tech team based in either Lima or Santiago to support to implement the global technology strategy in Glencore copper assets.- The role will provide support in the Technology Transformation business function in the assessment of opportunity and the roll-out of studies relating to specific technology initiative activities, in an aggregated and articulated fashion, seeking for the global optimum solutions in particular addressing the suitability for Brownfield project in Peru.- The role will undertake the implementation activities required to realize the business strategic plan for investment in technology in the Copper commodity.**In this role you will be responsible for**:- Reporting to the Technology Studies Manager and Control.- Integrate different projects and/or initiatives under the Technology Transformation portfolio, including Autonomy, Ore Sensing and Electrification.- Integrate Technology Transformation portfolio with other key relevant sub-functions, such Digital & Analytics, Decarbonization, Asset Management, Risk Management, Copper Management System, Planning & Development, Operational Excellence and Asset areas.- Engagement with Assets for progression of the technology initiatives, with an integrated vision.- Engagement of consultants for works initiatives including preparation of scopes, tendering, assessment and award processes.- Analysis and development of business cases for technology investment.- Coordination with assets and internal stakeholders on project task delivery.- Management of consultant activities on a day to day basis.- Preparation of reporting for project activities including schedule and cost tracking.- Undertake technology opportunity assessments and research and publish internal position papers of technology opportunities for Assets in your field of responsibility.- Develop integrated technology strategy for Copper assets, aligned with department mandates, commitments and aspirations.- Develop scopes and delivery plans for activities required to be completed under the project plans.- Submission of initiatives into the Technology Framework, gate approvals and regular monthly reporting in CMF formats.- Active management and co-ordination of works in progress, especially with existing projects running under the Technology Investment Framework, accelerating scaling and fostering integration for optimum global solutions.- Management of the consultants and advisors engaged as part of the role.- Interface with asset leadership and operational teams in works in progress.- Cross functional engagement as part of the technology transformation program.- Engagement with the internal stakeholders in copper and other commodities.**Specific Role Area and Project Responsibilities**:- Focus Areas - technology research and position papers:- Vehicle Interaction Prevention Systems- Fatigue Monitoring and Intervention Systems- Next Generation Fleet - Surface- Fleet Automation- Fleet Management Systems- Fleet OEE Business Intelligence- Short interval control- Technology Implementation Responsibility:- Copper roll-out assessment for future Peruvian operation**About the profile: Your training, skills & expertise checklist**- Bachelor Degree in Mining, Engineering, Mathematics, Commerce, Economics or Finance- Post Graduate in Business, Finance or STEM Fields (desirable)- 8 years experience in a operations, maintenance, functional roles in an industrial business- Experience in finance, strategy development and execution- Demonstrated experience in operations, maintenance or project management in mining industry- Background or experience in continuous improvement or change programs- Experience in financial assessment (desirable)- Role will require travel to site and global facilities on regular occasions**Competencies and Behaviors required for success in the role**:- Ensures Accountability- Develops Talent- Drives Engagement- Instils Trust- Collaborates- Customer Focus- Plans and Aligns- Strategic mindset- Communicates effectively- Decision Quality- Courage- Being ResilientIn Chile: All our offers are under the framework of Law 21.015, which encourages the inclusion of people with disabilities in the labour market.
