Manages complex technical programs to create and evolve access infrastructure technology and products. Position is responsible for design, certification, deployment and top tier support for operations. This work requires successful interaction with multiple organizations including Product, Decision Support, Program Management, IT, Planning and Engineering, Operations and multiple vendors. The outcome of this work ensures a reliable network that supports Lumens access products.Without this position, the company would be vulnerable to operational issues and will lose time to market that will directly impact Lumens revenue stream. This includes deployment of new technology and/or new products as well as Tier 3 technical support.Any issue that significantly affects the delivery of new capability or significant interruption to existing services must be immediately brought to management attention clearly, concisely, and with recommended solutions/approaches.This position is also responsible for the communication and management coordination of problems, issues or potential concerns as well as the technical aspects of the work. Corporate decisions are routinely made based on the outputs of this position.The position must ensure the most optimal network design and business models are followed while delivering programs on time to ensure committed revenue targets are delivered. The job requires frequent work with vendors to create and improve network design and support parameters, while ensuring contractual commitments are being met.Responsible for leading executive management reviews internal and external to ensure the proper communication plans are delivered to receive approval for program development, track the status of programs and keep executive team appraised of issue management.Day:to:day functions of this group include all phases of the technology lifecycle including:identification, evaluation, selection, lifecycle maintenance (s/w release updates), and retirement. The individual works with technology vendors on new products, certification,and technology issues as well as other Lumen organizations to introduce new technologies to the network and manage issues from already deployed technologies.Responsible for providing guidance to vendors regarding the direction of their technologies to ensure their products meet Lumens expectations of reliability as well as providing them with our feature requirements to remain competitive in the industry. Leads Access development team through the process for the selection and operationalization of new and existing Access technologies, including RFP development and completion; business case justification, systems work IT.
