Established in 1874, we have grown to become the world leader in mining and civil blasting with a diverse of team of more than 13,000 across the world.- It's an exciting time to join us - we are shaping the future of mining through digital and automated technologies, embracing new ways of thinking, pioneering innovation and reimagining the way we work.**About the role**- The Advisor - SHES provides guidance and advice on key activities within the relevant Manufacturing Centre or Sub Regional SHES department.**What you will be doing**- Key Accountabilities Provides advice in response to health and safety queries on policy and process relevant to the Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area within agreed timeframes; Participates in continuous improvement processes and problem-solving activities within the Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area; Ensures accuracy of information and delivery in agreed timeframes; Participates in Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area and company projects as required; Contributes to the development and implementation of SHES management systems; Participates and supports SHES assurance activities; Supports Orica leaders to execute their SHES responsibilities and accountabilities; Assists in event investigations; Supports the development of a SHES risk profile; Implements initiatives to mitigate and prevent SHES risk;**What you will bring****BAND F PEOPLE LEADER**- Minimum 7 years experience post qualification.- Experience leading a team, including building a collaborative approach.- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.- Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement.- Ability to plan, influence & execute.- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.**BAND F TECHNICAL SPECIALIST**- Minimum 3 to 6 years experience post qualification.- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.- Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement.- Ability to plan, influence & execute.- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.**Role dimensions****Span of control**:- Headcount - X Direct, X Indirect**Sphere of influence**:- Department / Functional Sub-specialty SME**Travel requirements**:- Role dependent**Your qualifications**- Insert tertiary qualification required for role (e.g. Accountant must have a tertiary degree in an Accounting discipline, an Engineer must have a tertiary degree in an Engineering discipline)- OR- Technical qualification / legistlative / SHES certification**How you shape and influence others**- Demonstrates courage, resilience and flexibility- Strong reputation for integrity, ethics, personal values and solid character- Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal & communication skills- Self-aware and open to feedback- Work effectively across business unit- High level decision making ability- Able to manage multiple tasks within deadlines and work independently**What we offer**- As part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
