Assistant - Purchasing

As a Assistant-Purchasing you will be responsible for operating a personal computer or terminal to perform a variety of data entry, verification, and related clerical duties. You will work from drafts and documents, consolidating and matching information for input.**Responsibilities**:- Enters supplier quotes and purchase order details to generate supplier orders.- Places supplier's orders when required.- Receives acknowledgments from vendors to update purchasing system.- Assists in resolving problems or finding missing information.- Proofs own work.**Qualifications**:- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required- Associate's Degree or Equivalent is preferred- 1 year of data entry experience is required- 1 year of customer service experience is required- 1 year of Knowledge of purchasing and inventory concepts, practices, and procedures is preferred- 1 year of Knowledge of industry including suppliers, customers, and competitors is preferred- 1 year of Knowledge of business performance measures is preferred- Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.- Strong problem solving skills is required.- Strong analytical skills is required.- Strong computer skills is required.- Strong interpersonal skills is required.- Wesco International, Inc., including its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Wesco") provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
