It's how we strive to work and live, every day.Job SummaryLeads a group which is responsible for development of a novel gene therapy for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) using genome editing and gene delivery technologies. In collaboration with T:CiRA Hotta Project PI, conducts in vitro and in vivo experiments using CRISPR:Cas and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technologies to develop genome editing therapy. Contributes to strengthen capabilities of the team to address scientific questions on neuromuscular diseases. Manages team members including technical staffs and contract employees and well communicates with academia members.Leads collaboration with Neuromuscular unit (NMU) of Neuroscience DDU in Takeda for DMD and communication with related Takeda R and D functions.Role and ResponsibilitiesMakes research plan of the project in collaboration with T:CiRA Hotta Project PI and director.Collaborates with Takeda R and D functions and 3rd parties including CROto achieve the goals of the project.Plans, manages FTE and research expenditure within the project and platform.Reports and consults with the director about issues in a timely manner and becomes a bridge between senior members and union members so that empowered group members can fully demonstrate their ability in their daily work.Reviews all experimental protocols and reports to maintain quality of researchers. Creates a sense of deep mutual trust between group members. Develops and appraises group members.
