The CFO promotes and maintains effective financial management practices by providing financial support and advice to the Director, Deputy Director, Bureau Heads and other leadership team members.The CFO has seven direct reports and oversees a staff of 50 FTEs including the following offices:Office of Accounting, Office of Budget and Financial Planning, Office of Contract Administration, and Office of Procurement.DPW is the largest agency in the City of Baltimore and is by far its most complex municipal operation in the City. The agency's workforce is budgeted at 2,800 employees, with a 660 million annual operating budget and a six:year 1.8 billion capital budget.DPW is a 24/7 operation with a very diverse set of responsibilities. PublicWorks, like no other agency, affects every neighborhood in Baltimore.DPW is comprised of several bureaus, divisions, and offices. The two bureaus that are the face of DPW include:The Bureau of Solid Waste (BSW) is dedicated to cleaning City neighborhoods throughout the City. BSW is divided into divisions, each with different areas of responsibility in waste management and disposal:Routine Services Division, Special Services Division, Property Management Division, Marine Operations Division, Mechanical Street Sweeping Division and Convenience Centers, and Disposal Services Division, in addition to the Office of Administration and the Office of Waste Diversion.The Bureau of Water and Wastewater (BWW)is responsible for sourcing raw water and treating and distributing drinking water to two million residents in the Baltimore area. BWW is also responsible for collecting, conveying, and treating wastewater from the region at two of the largest wastewater treatment facilities in the state. The operation, maintenance, and capital improvements of all the infrastructure required for drinking water and clean water are under the purview of BWW. Its assets include the following:three raw water reservoirs with a combined storage volume of 80 billion gallons, three water treatment facilities, 3,900 miles of water mains, 30 drinking water pumping stations and storage facilities, 1,100 miles of stormwater pipes.Duties and Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:Provides direction and support to managers in the development and management of the budget, fiscal systems and reports, long and short:term revenue forecasting, utility rate analysis and recommendations, cost of service analysis and findings, and fiscal monitoring.Develops financial alternatives/strategies, provides oversight on all business plans and transactions, following trends to provide guidance in financial issue problem solving.Oversees and monitors the day:to:day operations of the assign#J-18808-Ljbffr
