Generous additional daily allowance is provided for periods of Antarctic Deployment.PurposeTo provide Employer construction supervision to BAS Antarctic Infrastructure ModernisationProject AIMP during the build and commissioning of theDiscovery Building and Site WideServices at Rothera Research StationQualificationRelevant Engineering Degree, HNC/HND or extensive experienceDutiesProvide on:site supervision and AIMP leadership during construction and commissioning phases.Act as the Employers representative on site for all aspects of contract administration using the NEC3contract.Support coordination of construction activities between the Contractor and BAS Station Management.Manage the outputs of the Technical Supervisor and Assistant Site Supervisor on Station including thecompletion of audits, site reports, environmental checks, and technical compliance with the Basis of DesignBOD.Provide line management support whilst on site for the Technical Supervisor and Assistant Site Supervisor.Liaise with Construction Partner, Technical Advisor, User Technical Lead and MEP teams for the projecthandover phase, including coordination of witnessing system commissioning, snagging, quality assuranceof all documentation and BIM information and technical training for BAS technicians.Manage the Government Soft Landings process and transition into asset management in accordance withrequirements of the Information Management systems and ISO 19650.Coordinate BAS input to the Inspection and Test Plan ITPs, Site Acceptance Tests SATs, and overseeContractors completion of pre:commissioning and commissioning check lists.Coordinate BAS resource for the on:station Training Programme and Commissioning Programme in the2024:25 Season.Coordinate receipt, review and approval of the final commissioning documentation and handing over ofsystems to BAS.Review and provide the Project Managerwith advice on approval of the commissioning specificmaterial/technical submissionThe above lists are not exhaustive and the job holder is required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be requested within the scope of the post.
