Our client is a global investment company in the real estate industry. They are growing rapidly due to acquisition and are expanding their team in Irving, TXThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in timely preparation and issuance of complete and accurate monthly and annual consolidated financial statements. The performance of this position will be primarily measured by how successful we are in ensuring that all entries and reconciliations are completed.**Responsibilities**:Prepare and post elimination entries for intercompany accounts and gross up entries for revenue and expense in accordance with GAAP.Prepare monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations for Domestic and International entities, analyze the variance (if any)and make necessary adjusted entries.Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT return filing spreadsheet and supporting documents for UK and Austria to ensure the accurate and timely filing of VAT return.Maintain schedules and posting monthly / quarterly entries related to investments, ASC 842 leases, and American Express travel.Assist with billing properties under managementRespond to inquiries related to General Ledger account balances and transactions/ journal entries.Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting package, MD and A; and other reporting required by Highgate Hotel's Debt covenants and partnership agreements.Assist in successful completion of external financial audits, including delivering information requested by auditors on a timely basis.
