Senior Tax Accountant

Position Overview:A successful Senior Tax Accountant takes accountability for the entire accounting and tax process at ATBS. A Senior Tax Accountant is the main point of contact, provides insight and recommendation to ensure client success, and reviews a high volume of tax returns. In addition, a Senior Tax Accountant mentors and manages Entry Level Accountants to support their professional development.About You:You solve problems creatively and develop innovative solutionsYou are curious and have an inherent willingness to learnYou enjoy collaborating with others and have excellent communication skillsYou are analytical and detail orientedYou always go the extra mile to provide exceptional customer serviceSignificant Responsibilities:Effectively review a high volume of financial statements and federal/state tax returns completed by the Tax Accountant for accuracy, completeness, and due diligenceProactively manage associates by providing feedback and trainingAccurately provide tax return results and tax recommendations to clients ina positive and helpful mannerPassionately provide high-quality customer service by assisting in answering clients? questions and gathering tax informationActively support other departments and contribute to the growth of ATBSDesired Skills and Qualifications:Strong attention to detailStrong analytical, computer, and math skillsAbility to utilize critical thinking to solve problems and manage your time efficientlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work additional hours when requiredEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor?s degree is requiredAn equivalent combination of education and experience in business may substitute for a Bachelor?s degreeEnrolled Agent or CPA certification is preferredSolid understanding of accounting and income taxes is desiredKnowledge of federal and state income tax forms and tax rules and regulationsPrevious experience using CCH tax software is a plus, but not required
