AS A STRATEGIC PLANNER, YOU WILL:- Support and participate in Emerson Planning Process for the Americas which will include major management events such as quarterly World Area reviews, annual strategy review, and value creation/growth planning conferences- Develop, in coordination with staff, long range objectives and strategic plans by identifying internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability including macroeconomic trends, competitors, and market position- Analyze adjacent markets and make informed recommendations as to how Emerson should participate (or not participate)- Work with regional teams to collect market intelligence and trends and create and maintain quantitative model of competitive participation in markets and geographies- Analyze macroeconomic indicators to track business performance and develop long:range economic models for global business- Work on special ad:hoc requests and business development projects as assigned with appropriate recommendations to senior management- Work closely with marketing, finance, business development, and other functions as necessary to develop strategic initiatives and business plans- Support Latin America region and country General Managers with business development analyses and growth planning- Provide monthly financial commentary and industry trends to support Investor Relations- Participate in the development of analytical tools and dashboards to support the salesorganization- Attend Americas staff meetings and support development of content and analyses for Americas reviewsWHO YOU ARE:- You have a strong track record of critical thinking, collaboration, and communication.- You have an in:depth understanding of how businesses work and make money.- You quickly and decisively take actions in constantly evolving, unexpected situations.- You relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography.- You know your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and limits.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (business, accounting, finance, Importante empresa, economics) degree and +4:6 years of applicable work experience; or 4+ years of applicable work experience as well as an MBA- Willingness to travel within Latin America up to 30 of the timePREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:- Experience in strategy, general management, or business development- Relevant experience within the industrial or technology sector- Previous leadership experience is a plus- Strong communication skills including comfort with public speaking and presenting to a group- Project management experience- Proficient at data analysis- Strong problem:solving skills- Strong MS Office
