Automotive Interior and Exterior Design Engineer (M/F/d)YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESInvolved directly in the design and development of interior/exterior components (dashboards, center consoles, interior/exterior trims, glovebox, greenhouse, seats, trunk, frunk) from concept phase to series developmentDesign of components/assemblies taking in consideration plastic injection molding principles or other manufacturing technologies used in the automotive industryResponsible for the functionality, quality and delivering on time and budget of the componentsModeling of 3D components using CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly Design, Generative Shape Design, Drafting)Creation of drawings and technical documentation according to customer requirements, creation of assembly order sequences, BOM, gap calculations and/or tolerance analysisSolving technical challenges on a daily basis by understanding the main functionality of the components, initiating brainstorming with team members to gather ideas, taking in consideration manufacturing principles to reduce production costsConstant communication within the project team, actively involved in design reviewsWorking in an international environmentYOUR PROFILEYou have successfully completed a Bachelor/Master degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or an equivalent technical education/experienceYou already had contact and/or a few years of experience in automotive interiors/exteriors will be an advantageYou are passionate about manufacturing processes or how the automotive industry works; Knowledge of processes like thermoformed:, injection molded:, blow molded parts, die cast or other, relevant in the automotive industry is an advantageYou have good knowledge of 3D Modelingsoftware (CATIA V5 / Siemens NX).
