In everything we do we act with respect, trust and integrity.**General Description**: The Financial Reporting Manager is a reliable problem solver who can work effectively, efficiently and independently in a deadline-driven, dynamic, team-based environment.- This position currently reports to Halsey but will transition to Tangent towards the end of September.**Reports to**: North American Financial Controller**Job Summary**:The Financial Reporting Manager is an analytical, detail-oriented individual with soft people skills. This positions' responsibilities include supervising assigned professional staff, act as the lead for the preparation of company's monthly and yearly financial reporting, coordinate month-end and year-end closing general ledger procedures, maintain the general ledger, assist with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:- Supervise assigned professional staff.- Supervise the Payroll Department.- Preparation of financial analyses and reports.- Month-end & Year-end close, general ledger reconciliations.- Assisting with annual audit preparations.- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.- 4+ years of accounting experience in increasingly responsible role.- 3+ years of Payroll Supervision or Management.- Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.- Strong financial analysis skills.- Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills.- Strong organizational skills.- Ability to work accurately with figures and to perform detailed work.- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.- Comfort with technology and strong ability to learn new systems.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.**Preferred**:- Seed or Agriculture Industry experience.- Familiarity with Microsoft NAV software.- Familiarity with Power BI.- Familiarity with One Stream.
