Our 99,600 employees operate a network of 2,600 offices and laboratories, working together to enable a better, safer and more interconnected worldAs a member of the SGS Global Procurement & Real Estate team, this role is focused on following up and supporting countries Procurement & Real Estate departments to achieve their targets and constantly improve, while staying aligned with SGS Procurement & Real Estate agenda.**Responsibilities**:- Animate and align assigned countries on Global and Local Procurement & Real estate agendas- Active partnering in countries, including participation to local management team meetings and local Procurement committees when relevant- Engage frequently with respective local and regional finance managers- Align and validate countries targets year on year- Monthly follow-up with all assigned countries- Provide mentoring, coaching and intelligence as required on categories to support pipeline development and execution- Validate reported savings and take accountability for countries performances- Ensure consistency of global and local Procurement & Real Estate activities- This role also entails the negotiation and follow-up of competitive deals:- Together with procurement teams and various stakeholders, develops a pipeline of sourcing projects based on internal and external analysis and fully aligned with the stakeholders' requirements- Ensures tenders are executed in a way that they deliver best value (price / product or service) with minimum risk to SGS- Ensure that the procurement process is run in the most efficient way and according to SGS standards- Evaluate the proposals and make recommendations- Prepare negotiation strategy- Involves all parties that need to bring input or participate in decisions- Pro-actively and effectively collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders that need to bring input and take decisions- Accountable for contract finalization and related timelines- Initiate implementation of the contract when required and follows up on the progress- Ensures that price evolution during the contract life cycle is aligned with procurement objectives guaranteeing price competitiveness and stability, by constantly monitoring the market evolution and challenging contracted suppliers- Conducts regular performance reviews with suppliers to review the evolution of relationship and spend, ensure compliance with the contracts and relevant SLAs- Assist business when required in the operational supplier relationship management**Qualifications**- University degree in Business Administration, Procurement or Supply Chain- Proven strong negotiation and contractual experience, both at strategic and operational levels- Very good understanding of contract laws and standard forms of contracts- Strategic thinker but also hands-on - "roll up the sleeves" mentality is crucial- Strong Leadership, Influencing and Change Management skills to work in a matrix organization- Clear and fast thinker able to talk "stakeholder language" and convince them- Entrepreneurial skills, allowing to take independent decisions when appropriate- Pragmatic, self-starter, efficient and highly driven by objectives- Strong but diplomatic personality with high ambitions, able to build trust, respect and confidence- Acts quickly and decisively, able to make tough calls- Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities, interacting, and adjusting to diverse cultures and time-zones- Full fluency in English and Spanish- Ability to collaborate fully virtually with teams, stakeholders and suppliers- Very good Excel and data management skills- Excellent interpersonal communications and presentation skills- Detail and process-oriented, and analytical with strong work organization capability- Teamwork and oriented to internal customer service- At least ten years of experience in a strategic Procurement role in a multinational organization
