Responsibilities: ? Provide technical support to the customers from product testing to implementation.
Demonstrate superior technical competence in real-time resolution of embedded software, optical, and digital hardware specific to Groove, XTM, NDU-XR, and TNMS network management system.
Act as the local interface to the customer for professional service delivery.
Assist with customer-specific test planning and documentation
Manage high-visibility technical issues for customers. Lead technical meetings with customers.
? During deployments, provide on-site customer support to facilitate integration of Infinera solutions into their operations.
?? Execute commissioning and/or acceptance testing according to the procedures.
?? Perform hardware and/or software upgrades and expansions following the procedures.
? Assist technical support team in gathering all necessary information from a system with issues for resolution, when necessary.
? Draft and/or review methods of procedure (MOP) for deployment activities, technical, acceptance testing, root cause analysis (RCA), and knowledge management (KM) solutions.
Requirements:
Technical knowledge and ability to identify service requirements. Deep understanding of physical and logical network designs. Teamwork and organizational skills.
? Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
? Ability to assist in detailed fault localization processes and root cause analysis of network issues identified during deployment and operation. SCA Professional Service Engineer.
Strong technical background in metro, short-haul, and long-haul optical network technologies, including OTN/DWDM, ROADM, and Carrier Ethernet. ?
Good technical background in testing or support of NM/OSS software via XML, CORBA, TL-1, or SNMP, or physical layer hardware of long-haul optical networks. Skills/Abilities/Capabilities.
Minimum of five years deploying DWDM projects with experience in service migration. Experience with OTN products. Experience in network migrations impacting traffic.
Self-learning ability. Problem-solving ability in a high-pressure environment. Leadership and teamwork skills. Languages: English (oral and written).
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in operation, deployment, or testing of high-speed optical networks for the service provider market.
