SCALA ENGINEERS

We are now hiring skilled developers and engineers to join the team in Malmo, Sweden on long term contracts at a one of the largest and most creative tech companies in the world. You will be working on a Multi-petabyte real-time data web-application that is used on daily bases by a significantly part of the global population.

We think that you have a Master degree or equivalent in Computer science and at least 4 years of extensive work in Scala. You have a background in Java and object-oriented programming

Must-have Qualifications
Able to wear multiple hats, do what it takes ability and attitude
Strong object-oriented programming and design skills in Scala and Java
Experience in building scalable, reliable, distributed JVM & Linux-based systems
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent skills in mathematics and algorithms
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to design and implement APIs and REST services
Experience with Play, Spark, Kafka

Extra Merit Qualifications
Hadoop ecosystem
NoSQL Databases
Python
Experience with GIS, Geographical Data and Toolkits such as JTS, ArcGIS, QGIS, OpenJump etc.
