Senior Grower Accountant, Tri-Cities Area, WAJob Summary:The Senior Grower Accountant is responsible for the management of the overall financial accuracy of grower related accounts. He/she manages the daily inventory accounting function and will work closely with the managers in the Accounting Department to prepare accurate financial statements, meet compliance requirements and prepare the Company for growth. As our Senior Grower Accountant, you will play an instrumental role in our business, assuming responsibility for a variety of challenging projects that will make a positive impact on our ability to serve our customers. This is a high-profile role and the individual will work directly with the Senior Executive team in developing and refining accounting policies and proceduresThe Senior Grower Accountant provides interface with production and management in identifying grower related issues and helps provide support in reconciling and paying growers in a timely matter, as well as managing raw inventory across a number of affiliated entities. The Grower Accountant is responsible for effective communication with Farm Management and Grower Partners, along with the daily processing of subsidiary ledger and general ledger transactions. This position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment on significant matters.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provides in depth analysis offinancial results and prepares management reports. Collects, analyzes and utilizes key performance metrics critical to the operation?s success. Provides detailed support to various corporate accounting team members.Oversee and contribute to the preparation of raw materials inventory related information for financial statements (P&Ls, Balance Sheets, Statement of Cash Flows, ROI) and all other reports required by management.General ledger account research; Accounts payable; Accounts receivable; Troubleshooting.Developing relationships with growers.Maintaining organized files, tracking planting/harvest Crop SchedulesReconcile statements related to assessments, inspections and growersProducing and analyzing various management reportsVerify invoices as appropriateDirect and monitor inventory storage in multiple locationsComplete month end inventory valuationsProvide feedback on prime production variancesAssist in raw material standard costing and budgetingOther duties as assigned JOB QUALIFICATIONS:High aptitude for Financial AnalysisEffective communication with Farm Management, Co-workers and GrowersProfessional and friendly attitude is important for Grower RelationsKnowledge of subsidiary ledger and general ledger accountingIntermediate to Advanced knowledge of Windows and MS Office (particularly Excel)Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAVStrong organizational skills; Attention to detail and high level of accuracyMust be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:Bachelor?s degree in Finance or Accounting EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:3 to 5 years in general Accounting
