Job DescriptionThis role is a sales account executive position within our Visa Merchant Sales and Solutions organization. The Business Development Director will work with our largest and most strategic merchants and partners and will be responsible for strategic account planning, business development, technical solutions selling, pipeline management and client success. This position will be the main contact point for a group of merchants and is supported by a multi:functional team to ensure that both client and Visa objectives are achieved. The role will be for the execution of the Merchant Sales and Solutions:MS and A business plan for Perú in coordination with Local, LAC and Global hierarchy and corresponding strategies. This position is based at the Visa Office in Lima and eventually requires domestic:international travel availability.Fluency in Visa s merchant and issuance facing solutions as well as strong internal partnerships at a local and regional level will be critical for this position. The role will require you to pivot between stakeholders in the payment ecosystem including merchants, issuers and partners in order to deliver on the business goals. Establish and develop beneficial and constructive client relationshipsTechnical sales driven approach to connect Visa solutions to clients needs, focusing in revenue driven but also in leveraging digital payments projects in the industryDevelop and coordinate business development, product and innovation opportunities for Clients, manage sales materials, client proposals and utilize a consultative sales approach to lead/facilitate business development activities. It includes contract negotiation and related changes.Develop relationship management plans for a group of clients and achieve business objectives through planned and well executed initiativesDevelop sales strategies, business cases and financial models in order to manage sales process and achieve volume sales and revenue targetsParticipate in market analysis and local businessdevelopment strategyConduct regular account reviews with clients and strive to provide value added benefits to the clientsWork closely with internal Visa resources to deliver outstanding client supportExpand existing Merchants partnerships through cross selling of other Visa solutions and services.Partner with peers in other functional areas:e.g., Marketing, Analytics, Risk, Innovation, and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa's resourcesThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2:3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50 or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsExtensive financial and:or retail industry expertise, knowledge of payment, cards acceptance and a minimum of 10 years business experience with related sales and management experienceRelevant Bachelors degree required. MBA preferredStrong executive presenceFluent in Spanish and English, and Portuguese is a plusDeep experience in payment products:i.e. credit cards, pre:paid, ecommerce solutions etc., fluent in Co:brand business development and:or program management best practices along with implications for issuers, networks, and merchantsProven experience selling complex and:or technical products and services. Consultative selling skills.Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success:achievementTrack record of successful sales and relationship management with proven ability to interact at the C level executives within client organizationsStrong collaborator:both clients and teammatesmu
