Highly collaborative and creative big:Icture thinkers, the Communications Team is looking for a new member who will share its camaraderie, mutual support, and appreciation for oneConfidential**Responsibilities**:- Story**ing:Identify, develop, and create stories that convey the mission, vision, values, and unique spirit of Nueva as a school for gifted learners. Identify and report on noteworthy classes and events, and conduct video interviews of Nueva community members, to capture the school's student:Centered, inquiry:Ased approach to learning.- Photography and Videography:Conceive, shoot, edit, and produce high:Quality photos and video, including short:Form, spontaneous, and vertical video. Develop concepts and scripts forConfidentialphotographers and videographers as needed. ility to cover afternoon and evening events as well as occasional off:Campus day trips is required.- Reporting:Conceive, write, and edit inspiring stories out life at Nueva for digital and print publication.- Informational and Promotional Writing:Support the team by writing and editing letters, announcements, and invitations, promotional copy, and other content.- Digital Asset Management:Edit and maintain a growing database of photo and video assets.- Social Media:Support the digital Communications Manager by providing content for Nueva's social media feeds.- Website Management:Support the Communications and Website Manager by updating editorial and informational content on the Nueva website.Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field digital media; photography; video editing and/or video production; marketing/communications; journalism; public relations or commensurate work:Related experience, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting- Demonstrated ilities to produce and edit high:Quality writing, photography, and videography with a strong knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro/iMovie- A strong work ethic, with consistent attention to detail- An eagerness to refine existing skills and develop new ones- The ility to balance independent self:Management with collaboration- A commitment to anti:Racist and anti:Ias practices in story**ing, photography, and videography, in keeping with Nueva's values of social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.- A "team player" mentality, with the instinct to pitch in and help other members of the team, as well as colleagues across the school- Active interest in education and child development:How kids learn and thrive- Active interest in being a visible and connected member of the Nueva community, both to fulfill these job responsibilities successfully and to create meaningful and supportive relationships.Work location:All full:Time Communications Team members are expected to split their time between our Hillsborough andConfidentialMateo campuses.Travel requirements:The ility to cover afternoon and evening events as well as occasional off:Campus day trips is also required.
